Video production is a time-consuming effort. Set-up, recording, transcribing and editing often takes longer than most people realize.
Our prices are reflective of the amount of time and resources we dedicate to producing a finished final product.
SERVICES:
In-person oral history interview (1.5 to 2 hour interview): $2500 (within a 2-hour driving distance from the Philadelphia area - ask us if you are unsure of your distance. If slightly longer than a 2 hour drive, we will consider it for an additional travel fee.)
A lighting set up will need to be set up an hour prior to the interview and access to power outlets is necessary. Please allow us an additional hour for us to pack up our equipment as well. If more than one interview is to be conducted at the same household with the same lighting set-up, the second interview can be added for the cost of $1500.
Zoom oral history interview (1.5 to 2 hour interview): $800 (recording quality is dependent on how good one's internet connection and bandwidth is)
NOTE ABOUT THE INCLUSION OF PHOTOGRAPHS:
If you have photographs you would like scanned to illustrate something discussed in the interview, we are happy to work with you to add the photos when we edit at no additional cost. You can either send us the photos electronically as high-resolution scans to a Dropbox we will provide you or you can send us the photos via a courier service (Fedex, UPS) for us to scan and send back to you via UPS and will send you the tracking number. We will take great care with your photographs, but please note we are not responsible for any photos lost in shipping so we suggest you scan them yourself if you fear sending them via post.
Please limit up to 50 photographs per production. If more than 50 photographs, we will charge an additional $1 per photograph past 50 (ie. if you have 51 photographs, this would cost $1, if you have 101 photographs, this would cost $51)
